In case anyone missed the earlier announcements, this year's guild gathering will be in Copenhagen from Thursday 20. to Sunday 23. of August. We have several guildies living in the area around the lovely capital of Denmark, so there will be native guides to escort us safely(?) through the experience. Cya there!
Web site slowbieness
on Tuesday 16 June 2009 - 04:31:14 | by Roic
If you feel the website has been slow today, you're right. The reason the site has for dragging it's feet is not local, it's due to the fact that some code is fetched from wowhead.com every time a page load. This is for functionality and neat functions like pop-ups for gear when you hover your mouse over links for instance.
Well, wowhead has blown off it's head it seems. The site is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet it's maker. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you'd nailed it to a server it would be pushing up daisies. It's threaded processes is now history. It's off the twig. It's kicked the bucket. It has shuffled off it's mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin choir invisible. It is an ex-website!
Hopefully there's a backup available. But in the meantime, the functionality is somewhat reduced on this site.

Wanted: CoM PvP Battlemaster!
on Saturday 30 May 2009 - 02:47:19 | by Arabis
We would like to revive the guild PvP events again. Doing battlegrounds in guild groups were quite popular events up until about a year ago, when Blizzard changed the matching rules, making it almost impossible to get in as a big group, Luckily, they reversed that a while ago, so now we are looking for one or two persons with some PvP experience to organize and lead guild PvP events every second Sunday.
Do you see yourself proudly leading CoM into battle against the Alliance? Then please read the full post in the forum and reply to it.

TotW: Introspective
on Sunday 26 April 2009 - 02:37:32 | by Roic
Once in a while it's necessary to have a good look at oneself and find out how you're actually doing. Or, after unexpected performance, good or poor, ask yourself the question: "How the heck did I do that?". If the WWS stats show that you have insane critical hits, it's useful to know where they come from. As is knowing why exactly is some or all of your abilities have a high miss rate.
The statistics is very useful for analysing the reasons, but short on providing you with tools for how you can fix it. Enter some other sites to the rescue:
Bonus tip: If you have problems interpreting the statistics, it is a good idea to "crowdsource" it. Don't be afraid of posting questions in the Class forums to get help. Reading those pesky numbers isn't for everyone, but there's plenty of help available just for the asking.

Grats Cory, Easter Quiz Champion!
on Sunday 12 April 2009 - 02:49:54 | by Arabis
Corynthia managed to get every single answer correct in the Easter Quiz. Some lucky guesses there, he admits! Closest competitors were Sisel and Meluzina, who both got 90% correct. 36 people did the quiz this time and the killer question was Jinngo's pets. Only five people got that one right.
Thank you all for participating!

TotW: Show your stuff!
on Friday 13 March 2009 - 10:24:51 | by Roic
It only takes a few minutes. Why not share what you can make with your crafting professions? Here's how, in 3 easy steps:
While information from all your characters is recorded in the addon, when you upload it only information about Horde characters on Runetotem specifically will be added to the database, and even then you have to have your characters registered here. In other words, if your character is not in the guild, it won't show up.
Edit: Link fix.
- Install the addon RecipeKnown. If you use WoWMatrix, just fire it up and install from there.
- Forget about it for a few days, just play as normal. (The recipes is recorded when you open your crafting windows, and written to a file when you log out.)
- Go to the upload page and follow the instructions there.

Database fubar.
on Sunday 01 March 2009 - 02:47:06 | by Roic
Due to a temporary brain disconnect, I've had to roll back the database for the site this morning. There shouldn't be too much lost, just about 15 minutes or so. I don't believe there is any data lost, but there might be post or profile edits that has been reverted to a previous version.
Sorry for the inconvenience, those databases can be finicky.
Oooh, what does this button do ...?
